How Admissions Advantage works
Admissions Advantage answers one question the free profile cannot fully resolve: can we realistically get in? It uses published DfE admissions statistics, multi-year demand trends, and School Compass portfolio rules to help you build a balanced application list.
- Admissions pressure
- We translate DfE oversubscription ratios into plain-English pressure bands (very low through very high) so you can see how contested a school is on published data — not guess from reputation alone.
- Oversubscription
- Applications-per-place shows how many families applied for each available seat in the latest published cycle. Rising trends over multiple years are flagged when demand is climbing.
- Portfolio planning
- We classify schools on your list as reach, target, or safety options using hard eligibility rules — selective grammars and heavily oversubscribed schools cannot be labelled as safety schools.
- Realistic school choices
- Named alternatives are ranked safety-first, with target and reach schools for comparison — so you build a list you can live with if your first preference is full.
